If there's flooding from a tap and it's safe to do so, turn off the tap in the area that's impacted by water. Next, go outside and find the water inlet valve and turn it off. This will be on the side of your house somewhere, from the ground, entering the house. It doesn't enter up high - look around a foot from the ground. It looks like a copper pipe, with a flat lever (usually silver) that you can turn 90 degrees. You'll want to turn that lever 90 degrees, whichever way it will go. If you can't find that, you'll need a pair of pliers. Head out to your meter box out the front and turn the water inlet off. Finally, give us a call. Because as soon as the water is turned back on again, the problem will keep happening.

Water and electricity are not a good combination. If there's flooding inside your property, do not use nearby electrical at all.
